IES commisined by Union Investment with the projectmanagement of the Y Towers project
The new skyline of Amsterdam is being enhanced with two towers along the Ij river. A hotel tower, which is to be operated by Maritim, one of the largest hotel proprietors in Europe, is being constructed in Amsterdam Noord along the promenade by the banks of the IJ – beside the famous Eye Film Museum and the A'DAM Tower. The project has a gross floor space of about 52,000 m². The 4-star conference and congress hotel accommodates about 600 rooms and will be a very popular gathering point in Amsterdam for tourists and business travellers as well as convention and congress participants. The hotel distinguishes itself on account of its architecture, location and good accessibility as well as on account of its varied food-service offers and conference rooms. The other tower will be one of the highest and most innovative residential towers in the Netherlands. 220 apartments with green terraces and breathtaking views of the historic city of Amsterdam and the river IJ are being built on a gross floor space of about 23,000 m². Spacious penthouses, family apartments, smaller apartment units and serviced apartments with upscale furnishing provide a unique living experience. The emphasis is on quality and service.

In October 2019 IES Immobilien has successfully completed the sale of shares in Y-Towers projekt in north of Amsterdam to Union Investment. IES Immobilien managed the sale and transaction process and Union Investment has retained the company as a partner to support the further development of the Y-Towers project.
